Circular dining table, model 3600, designed by Arne Jacobsen for Fritz Hansen. Black lacquered wooden table top with visable wood grain structure that sits on four chromed legs with black plastic "shoes". The first of the 3600 series that Jacobsen designed back in 1952 was egg shaped (called The Egg tabel) and was originally developed for the dining room of Danish farmaceutical company NOVO in Copenhagen. The round version is from this same series and were designed around the same time. This black lacquered example were most likely produced in the 1970s or 1980s. The veneer on the table top has been restored and also has a new black lacquer. The legs are in an untouched vintage condition with normal ware consistent with age and use. Unmarked. Chairs are not included.
