Set of 12 chairs, model 69, designed by Alvar Aalto for Artek in 1935. This set was produced by the Artek factory in Hedemora, Sweden ca 1950. Frame of steam bent birch. The Hedemora factory took over all production for Artek between 1946-1956 after World War II due to the lack of material in Finland while rebuilding the country after that dramatic event.
Good vintage condition with ware consistent with age and use. Two of the chairs with a small chip in the veneer on the seat. Pictured.
