Bentwood armchair, manufactured by Thonet competitor J&J Kohn, in the early part of the 20th century. Kohn was beside Thonet the best known and respected maker of bentwood furniture in Europe and has worked with the best and most well known architects and furniture designers from the Wiener Werkstätte. The seat section has been replaced sometime during the chairs history but is very sturdy and works well. Overall good vintage condition with light ware consistent with age and use
